Zid Integrations FAQ

Short answers to what merchants ask before and after they install.

What the app does

What does Zid Integrations do?

It connects your Zid store to your ERP or accounting system. Every paid order is posted to the ERP with the customer, items, tax and shipping, then read back to confirm it. With Odoo, ERPNext and Wafeq, each return posts as a credit note. Stock flows from your ERP warehouses to each Zid location.

How fast does a paid order reach the ERP?

Each order posted within seconds of reaching us.

Can the same order be posted twice?

No. The same order is never posted to the ERP twice, even if the order notice arrives more than once or a sync is retried.

How are returns posted?

Returns are available with Odoo, ERPNext and Wafeq, not with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations or a custom system. Each return in Zid posts as one credit note linked to the original invoice, and partial returns work by line and quantity. The credit note covers the returned items with their VAT; refunded shipping and cash-on-delivery fees are not credited.

Does the app take any action in my store without my approval?

No. The assistant in the app acts only after you approve: creating a coupon, adding wallet credit (to a group of up to 50 shoppers per run), changing an order status, or retrying a failed sync.

What is the insights dashboard?

A dashboard that shows your store data in four views: overview, sales, customers and products. Its metrics include Revenue, Orders, Average order, Net revenue after returns and Returning buyers. It is on by default at install, runs on your Zid data before your ERP is connected, and refreshes every night.

Systems

Which systems does the app work with?

Odoo 18 and 19, ERPNext, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, Wafeq as an accounting app, and any system with a public API on request. The ERP document number appears as a comment on the Zid order with every system. Returns are available with Odoo, ERPNext and Wafeq, and updating the order status in Zid is available with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, and is switched on during setup.

My system is not on the list. What now?

If your system has a public API, the link can be built for you on request, and the scope of work sets what it covers.

Does the app work with an accounting app, or only with ERPs?

Both. Wafeq is an accounting app. Orders and returns post to it, and stock is connected too, including a one-time opening-stock load.

Setup and go-live

How long until we go live?

You go live about two weeks after install, once you approve the test report.

Who sets up the link?

Our team does the setup with you, and the link is tested on your store's orders before it goes live.

What do I need to do?

Install the app and choose a plan, pick the data to connect and the system, enter your API keys (help getting them is available), approve the scope of work, then approve the test report.

Does anything work before my ERP is connected?

Yes. Insights and the assistant work right after install, before your ERP is connected, from your Zid data alone and with no API keys. The insights dashboard is on by default, loads your last 30 days of orders after install, then refreshes every night. Assistant actions that need your ERP work once setup is done.

Plans and trials

What are the plans?

Starter covers 100 orders a month, with orders, returns and AI analysis. Growth covers 500 orders and adds stock and the grow-sales tools; price sync is set up on request. Business covers 2,000 orders and adds priority support and multi-warehouse routing, which sends each order to the warehouse that serves the shopper's ship-to city. Current prices are on the app's Zid App Market page.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. The trial is 7 days on a monthly plan and 30 days on a yearly plan.

Can I set up credit rules and automatic price drops myself?

Credit rules and automatic price drops are set up by our team on request. The grow-sales tools come with the Growth plan.

Data and permissions

What does the app read from Zid?

Orders, the store profile and currency, abandoned carts, products, customers, coupons, payment and shipping methods, tax settings, locations, and order, cart and customer webhooks.

What does the app write to Zid?

Automatically: a comment on the order with the ERP document number, stock per location, and the order status with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations once switched on during setup. Only after you approve, the assistant handles coupons (create, update and deactivate, never delete), shopper wallet credit, order status changes, creating and updating products, and draft orders. Set up on request: product prices including per-market prices, coupon sync, welcome credit, and a customer sign-up form. During setup, the app also creates a Zid location and subscribes to Zid webhooks. Returns write nothing to Zid.

Does the app delete coupons?

No. The app can create, update and deactivate a coupon, and never deletes one.
